PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Apple A20 Pro Architecture and Vapor Chamber Cooling Giants Leap Forward
Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max runs the new Apple A20 Pro processor that is based on TSMC's updated 2nm production technology. The design of the Apple A20 Pro has a 6-core CPU (2 superperformance cores that can run at the maximum frequency of 4.93 GHz and 4 energy-saving cores), a GPU with 7 cores and Neural Accelerator for every core and the Dual 16-Core Neural Engine (32 cores in total). Thanks to the vapor chamber, the Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max can maintain longer peak speed settings and prevent overheating while playing games.
48MP Pro Triple Optics featuring 4-Step Mechanical Variable Aperture
In a first for the iPhone, this rear camera features a physical 6-blade mechanical variable aperture. This addition allows photographers to capture real shallow depth-of-field images using low-light capabilities at f/1.48, which can be adjusted to f/4.0 for sharp multiple-subject photographs. The camera is attached to a 48MP Ultra-Wide lens (13mm, 120° FOV) and a 48MP periscope telephoto lens that possess a 4x optical zoom (100mm). Due to sensor-center binning, lossless 8x optical quality crops (200mm) are also possible. This new technology is combined with features in video recording, which allow for high-quality Dolby Vision 4K recording at 120fps, external ProRes RAW capture, and Apple Log 2 processing along with an advanced 18MP Center Stage selfie camera.
